Spread Eagle

The glorious eagle with wings spread open and the head turned to one side has duel symbolism.  It can refer to the Roman Empire or Christian scholars thought to be able to look into the sun.  It is the national emblem for many countries including Albania, Germany, Poland, Serbia and the United Sates.
